Reading, Just As Life Finds You

What if I told you it’s not about how many books you read in a year, or how many pages you manage in one sitting?
It’s about that moment, however brief, when you step outside yourself and connect with something bigger. A chance to gain perspective, to grow, to learn, or simply to dream.

Reading doesn’t ask for perfect conditions. It slips into lunch breaks, quiet evenings, weekends of self‑care, or holidays when life slows down. However it arrives, it’s special. It’s powerful in its quiet way. On hard days, when you’re restless or stuck, reach for a book. When your thoughts feel loud or your world small, turn a page. Somehow, it helps, even when you can’t explain why.

I once read that every story finds you at exactly the right time. I believe that. Sometimes a story doesn’t just entertain. It steadies you. It nudges you. It reminds you of who you are, or who you might still become. So read when you can. Read what calls to you. Take your time. Read slowly. Imperfectly.
Let a story find you.
